How hard is it to find IRL Female Friends

megotron
Most of my female friends are an hour away that enjoy anime and it gets tough since I, just want to discuss the animes. All im confronted with are discussions on guys and shoes. Those have their place but, female friends would be nice.I guess is what I am saying.

If you're cool, I'll put on a bra and some oranges and we can talk about anything you like. Otaku girls are hard to find irl. :c

It's rather easy to find them. I let be known that I love anime and the likes and generally people come to me. I have a girl right now whom I'm showing Hellsing Ultimate as her 1st anime ever. And she calls me constantly asking me if the new episodes are out. It's so cute. Also, the girl that I'm showing anime to is just a friend. I have never messed with her sexually in any way. And I plan on keeping it that way. She's cool peoples and I wanna show her more anime without the pressure of sex getting involved somehow. Actually, now that I think about it, I have a couple female friends watching different shows with me. 1 is watching Hellsing, another is watching House of Cards, another enjoys watching me play RPG's. She literally curses me out when I play a new RPG without her presence. Haha. I can hear her voice now, mainly cause I'm playing FF9. Anywho, it's not hard to find someone, male or female, for me. I also don't care if my friends don't watch anime and think whatever of it. Just don't call it a cartoon and I'm good.

Buh.... I like guys....I really just feel like I want close anime watching friends, I have shown my whole family anime and for the most part they enjoy it. My sister and I bond over anime watching constantly and she is always open to watch new stuff I just feel bad intruding on her. It just makes me sad maybe i was having a feel sort of day, and I was missing friends that live so far.

How far are you from NYC? and do you drive?

I think it really depends. If you are near a college, it is somewhat easy to find female friends. Finding them in other areas, can be quite challenging though, mainly because you don't know where potential friends are and frequent. Every time I wanted to meet anyone female otherwise, I was suggested to go to bars...but I don't drink and I am not looking for friends that drink, so it kind of defeats the purpose.

Mego, I Know how you're feeling. I've got maybe two anime friends around here, and both are off in college land. I go to places that otaku go around here occasionally, but they are all under 18. :/ If I had my computer set up, I would stream anime and a bunch of us could watch it and kinda be our own little clique of friends online, but my desktop is currently out of commission. :/ If ya ever wanna talk anime though, feel free to message me, and I'm sure kichi wouldn't mind joining in as well :D

TBH It's really hard for me to find female friends IRL. The people i would call friends That i strived to get are only self centered or only talks to me when something is needed, but i don't consider people who use me as friends. (And it took me about 3 years just to meet them) Now It only seems i can find friends at conventions and online, and that's also a rarity on the account i am cruddy when it comes to interesting conversations that don't turn awkward. But, when it comes to IRL, I've noticed when i just stop trying, i find them easily. Although they are usually outside of school and/or entirely random (Example, I went to the bathroom in a macy's and a girl noticed my Princess luna shirt and we ended up having a 3 hour conversation and became acquaintances; Or the case where i was eating icecream and dipped my fries into it and a random girl decided to talk about how cool it is i did that. And she was one of the only people at the time i could ever consider a best friend.) So when i really try, i find bad ones But when i am just give up, i somehow bump into them.

Just like love, ya gotta let it come to you.

That from my experience jiko, is exactly correct.
