Most Embarrassing Moments

Sigh... Life really is just a series of awkward moments, isn't it? Something JUST happened that should end one of those awkward situations: >Be me, 19 year old male >Looking for work, been on the couch for two months >Mom gets me the number to the owner of this big building in town, I call looking to do maintenance work or whatever >Get an "interview" which was short, informal (in the lobby of the building, no less) >A few things make me uncomfortable, but I mostly ignore them >Wants to take me to dinner to "get to know me better" >Feels weird, but he's older so maybe that's how his generation did things >Calls me later to chat, asks personal questions including what I thought about gay people although he had a reason to ask that (said some people he works with won't work in places that rent to gay couples) >Complimenting me a lot, saying I'm smart >Set the date to Monday >Something doesn't feel right here Talked to my mom and she thinks he was looking for something else, if you know what I mean. I'm bi, but that still doesn't stop me from being REALLY uncomfortable with the situation. I just called and cancelled, said it's "not what I'm looking for" and all that polite stuff when you're actually saying "you're creeping me the fuck out man, don't call me again". He took it fine and I hope I just backed out of that situation successfully.
