The oldest person I dated was 35 (myself being 24 at that time) and the youngest was 17 (myself being 25 at that time). I wouldn't think it's an issue unless you think it is. One thing is for certain in my particular case; I will never date someone so young.

10+/- usually works as long as the younger partner's old enough to understand.

I dont think it matters too much, as long as you both love each other. Obviously theres the legal issue to think about though.... My ex-gf was 17 when we got together (In the UK thats legal) and I was 26 but that never stopped us at the time.

I feel that age shouldn't matter...but it does anyway. Last year (17), I was seeing a guy on and off who was six years older than me. As a side note, I feel it wise to mention that he was very baby-faced and looked very young. However, his mindset was completely that of an adult, and I found myself in a few awkward moments where my budding sexual awareness simply could not compute what he was hinting at. From ages 13-20, I think that age does matter. But after that 20 mark, it probably doesn't make much difference mentally. At 18, I am now happily engaged to my fiance of 20. I hope that doesn't make me hypocritical.

Age does matter. I follow the 1/2 age +-5 rule (Halve your age, then add 5 years. To determine age up, take the number of years difference from equation and add to ones own age).

That's a big thing I run into... I'm 25 and just really came out on being a Otaku type person. It seems like everyone I met is under age, and thou anime makes all guys to be pervs that's not me. lol a joke But yes to be real I try to look for a women or girl at lease 20. But I will say this I don't mind making friends of any age as I tend to see myself as a parent or older bro to them. If something would ever happen like falling in love then they would at to be age 18.
