If you ask others if they would date you, it shows your insecurity in a big way. Just let things be and see what happens. The worst thing you can do to yourself in the dating world is doubting yourself.

You're still pretty young and haven't even hit college yet. I think you'll be just fine. Just try to be social if you go to conventions and meet some new people. It will come in time.
