DRAGON CON 2014

I am SO going next year! I've been out of the country for a while and I've missed the con every year for the past few years. I'd love to get a group of people together to meet up there and have fun. Anyone planning on attending? It's in Atlanta, Ga.

I am not about to let this thread fade away! XD I know it's a year away, but I like planning well in advance for these sort of things so that I can have time to put together several cosplay costumes for the convention with plenty of time to get all the details right. I always make a least one new costume for every new convention I go to and that takes time. Right now, I am looking for other cosplayers who intend on going to Dragon Con in Atlanta next year from Aug. 29th - Sept. 1st. If we buy tickets for the weekend before Dec. they're only $85 for the whole weekend, plus extra goodies. If you buy one before tomorrow, they're only $75. The price the month before the convention is ~$150 or more so it's best to plan and buy them early. If ANYONE is interested in going to Dragon Con next year, I'd like to form a group so that we can get a nice hotel room to share right there at the convention hall. I've been before and this con is GIGANTIC! 3 days isn't NEARLY enough to see it all! And I went right after Hurricane Katrina when half the vendors and guests cancelled at the last minute because they thought the storm would hit Georgia! So I KNOW this is going to be a good one~ ;) Please let me know if you're going! And add me too, if you like~ :) I hope someone decides to join me! XD

:D Ikr! I've been looking forward to my next Dragon Con for YEARS! Two and a half years in a foreign country where cons don't really exist can leave an Otaku starving for one. Since I wasn't able to attend this year due to lack of money and having to work, I am going all out for the con next year! ;)

Sure! I'm pretty certain that there'll be people there dressed in Steampunk. It's the mother of ALL conventions! They have EVERYTHING! Anime, Star Trek, Star Wars, Tattooing, Harry Potter, Dragons, Famous Authors, Famous Singers & Bands.. so they've gotta have Steampunk there as well~ XD I'm gonna do an ANBU costume one day, Steampunk another, and a Kitsune costume. I ALWAYS dress up as a Kitsune for the first day of any convention. My last name is Fox~ I like playing off that. :3

I just found out recently that Dragon Con has gone from the 3 hotels that I remember to being in 5 hotels! It's gotten much bigger and apparently there's no way to rent a room in the same hotel as the Con anymore, it's THAT big! If anyone is interested in going next year, just let me know~ I'm looking to get a group together to share a hotel in order to cut down on costs.
