I should be there! I am (hopefully) going to college in Maryland and will be there by then. Also, my boyfriend (ksong on here) should also be there unless they schedule his army ROTC training course over that time...
I'll definitely be going. I plan to go as Goku, probably on Friday. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn Camden Yards. Close, great amenities and not bad pricing. Never have had a problem. (Basically, you walk past the giant Hilton and you're at the block with our hotel). I think we have 5 people this year. That is usually our quota.
I'll probably be looking for someone to room with, but at least within 3 blocks of the convention center preferrably.
I mean, in heavy cosplay and 90+ degree weather you WILL burn over 9000 (do it, left it wide open for ya) calories total for the weekend, given 3 days total with Thursday arrival and Sunday departure counting as one full day's time. I brought a pedometer with me last time and I stayed at the Sheraton City Center, and with constant panels, photoshoots, and back and forths to the hotel each day the pedometer read well over 30,000 steps on each day.
Good cardio, but hell on your cosplay if it's detailed and with big props to lug around.
Ramen - Not a problem for me. I need to get in as much cardio (and strength training) as I can before Otakon to get a Goku-like body, and after to keep it.
