The flavor of Attention whores in OP are pitiful. A hollow person dependent on outside validation to prop up their ego lacking self-esteem to do it properly on their own.

I think some people actually really think they are ugly and don't believe it when people say they are not. I do that a lot. And I've meet people who are drop dead gorgeous and have a great personality to boot and they think they are the shittiest person in the world. It happens.
