Humm... Asuna's Battle Outfit? That sounds pretty cool. She has a few though. Was it similar to a medieval plate armor [Mahorafest "Hero Unit" version], or more like a sailor suit [Martial Arts Tourney version]? There may be more, but those two are the ones that come to mind. I'd love to see someone do Setsuna Sakurazaki, with her Nodachi sword [my username's Namesake], or perhaps Yue Ayase in her Marisa-esque transformed outfit [with the tall witch hat]. Or maybe Eva with a well-done ChachaZero. That would be awesome too. Shoot, I'd like to see ANYONE [and everyone] from the series done *G*. Anyways, how far into the Manga have you gotten? I actually haven't quite finished it myself, although I'm probably about 3/4 of the way through. I finally OWN the entire series now, but I had wanted to read it from the start to freshen up before I moved on to the later "new" stuff. I've read it COUNTLESS times up to about 3/4 of the way through though. BTW, while the first Anime was so-so, and never made it very far into the manga's story [basically, stopped before you started getting to the really good stuff], I don't know if you're aware of it, but they HAVE done a series of OVAs based on the Magical World arc. The OVAs, in contrast, are about as close to perfect as you could ever ask for. Espically the first one or two, they literally follow the manga panel-by-panel at some points. I can't describe how awesome it was to see some of those fights animated, while still staying true to the Manga. All that having been said, definitely read past that point in the Manga before watching them, if you haven't already; major spoilers otherwise. I like the series for many reasons, but I think my biggest reason is the technical "logic" behind it. When designing the "world" of Negima, they put a HUGE amount of thought into the technical aspects of everything, from the magic to the technology [robots, etc.] to the Martial Arts. Not that things can't get over-the-top fantastical from time to time, but for the most part all three things stay in a reasonably close balance, to where one isn't crazy more powerful then the others [except Magic, but then only later; plus, this makes sense]. Not only that, all three had set limitations; a good example of this is the Lexicon in every volume of the manga, describing EVERY SINGLE SPELL. Not only was this a nice interesting touch [and shows that they did their homework], but they made an effort to limit the power of each spell by the actual capabilities of what you're manipulating to accomplish it. Granted, that doesn't always apply, but it does surprisingly often. There were other interesting "limitations" on magic as well sometimes, such as Magic Arrow having to be cast where the number of arrows is a prime number. Anyways, I think I'm getting carried away here. What some of your favorite characters, and what's your favorite aspect(s) of the series that you like? What's some of your other favorite series? I love a lot of the 90s and early 2000s stuff, since that was when I was the biggest into anime, but there's definitely been some great series since then as well. A few "classics" that come to mind are Full Metal Panic, Lucky Star & Last Exile, to name just a few off the top of my head. And yes, I did watch Haruhi ;) I don't only watch mainstream stuff though, in fact I usually DON'T watch the tip-top mainstream stuff [i.e. One Piece, Dragon Ball].

Wow that's really cool! Ive know done one cosplay and that was Lamb from Hitman Reborn. I've been wanting to start a new project soon but I haven't had the time unfortunately. I'm hoping I can go to Anime Expo this year as well.
