The story of the "Nice Guy" is my life story. As I grew up I would be kind, caring, generous and self-sacrificing for anyone and everyone that considered me even remotely close to a friend. Late in high school, I realized that I wasn't going anywhere with this mentality, it felt like I was giving away far more than receiving anything. Felt like I was being taken advantage of. I went through a short "i'm a jerk" phase, before realizing, "Hey, why am I doing this? I should just be myself!" I went back to bein' a "nice guy" but instead of only thinking about others, I started to think about myself as well. I was confident and would attempt to be a generally warm and friendly person, I made many many friends from this. However, I never manage to land a girl, the past two relationships I did have, ended for seemingly no reason and by the girl both times. I've moved on however, and realize that sometimes, things just don't work out. Being a nice guy doesn't mean being a loser, just have to be confident and willing to adapt for others. That's my opinion anyway.

I'm from the Bay Area myself, only a 30 minute drive outside of San Fran. Seems like the general crowd for the site however is under the age of 20 (18 and under even), which is slightly disappointing, as I was hoping to meet some more people around my own age.
