The Diclonius (two-horned human) are mutants created by humans. It has a special ability that can be described as a sixth sense.

The story is set in Heavenly Host Elementary School, an elementary school that was torn down following the murders and disappearances of several of its staff and students. By the start of the story, another school called Kisaragi Academy has been built over the elementary school site.

While visiting a town a peddler named Kraft Lawrence meets the local god known as Holo the Wise Wolf. She asks if he would take her to her home up north and many adventures happen along the way.
