I've chatted using my mic but it's not very good and my family are loud so headset will be better :)
I just find it easier but I can be quite shy so I only use it when I know the person not with random match ups.

I'm going to get myself a new headset at the end of the year as well so it'll be easier for me to game online with people. Without talking to each other, parties can easily fall apart.. and I can't be bothered to type xD
