I am your basic geeky otaku. I love anime, though my viewing options are a bit limited. I am visually impaired, so I can't read subs, which means anything I watch has to be the English dub. I don't want to have the subs vs. dubs argument. I watch dubs because it's the only way I can watch anime. I used to read manga before my eyesight got too bad.
Other things I like:
TV Shows (non anime): Doctor Who, Sherlock, Paranormal (My Ghost Story, Ghost Hunters, etc.), game shows (Jeopardy, The Chase, Family Feud), My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Yes, I'm a Brony. That doesn't mean I'm one of the annoying ones though.), Grimm. There are more, but those are the top ones.
Anime (Yes, there is an anime list, but these are my end-all, be-all faves): Weiss Kreuz/Knight Hunters, Death Note, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha (one of my 'gateway' anime.), Yu-Gi-Oh! (my other 'gateway' anime), Rurouni Kenshin, Gravitaton, Fruits Basket, Fushigi Yuugi. Again, there are others I like, but those are the ones I liked enough to watch over and over.
Movies: Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Howl's Moving Castle, Cemetery Man, The Green Mile, Phantom of the Opera, Hamlet (starring David Tennant).
Books/Literature: Shakespeare, Harry Potter, The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, Sherlock Holmes, Phantom by Susan Kay, The Lovely Bones, The Secret Life of Bees, The Kingdom Series (fairytale based romances by Marie Hall/Jovee Winters), The Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovitch, Magic ex Libris series by Jim C. Hines. Can you tell I read a lot?
Music: Country (Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, many more.), Rock (Three Days Grace, Skillet, Halestorm, Linkin Park, others.), Pop (I'm not too proud to admit I've been a Backstreet Boys fan since middle school. I also like just about anything else from the 90's), J-rock/J-pop (Gackt, Malice Mizer, Hyde, L'arc en Ciel, Dir En Gray, Gazette, AnCafe, more.). I also tend to love internet meme songs, like the (English) Numa Numa, and Gangnam Style. Other then that, I listen to a lot of songs from musicals, and generally anything else that catches my eye...well, ear. xD
Other: Video games (especially Karaoke because I can't sing and fighting games because I love to trash talk and button smash. FYI, I almost always play the blind swordsman guy, because I love irony like that.) Forum based role playing games (most of my experience is in Wheel of Time, ironic since I haven't read it, but currently I'm the admin of a Fushigi Yuugi AU/OC rp. It is awesome, but small.), Cosplay, and writing (both fanfiction and original fiction, though more of the latter as of late.)
If there's anything you want to know, feel free to ask. ^^ I'm not shy when it comes to questions about my vision (Some people worry I'm touchy about that, and I'm not.) and I'm always open to discussing anime I like, and suggestions for new ones. I'll probably add more here later when I figure out what to put.
