Ya know, San Antonio's countryside nice and all. However I really miss living right behind an HEB/shopping center in Austin. Kinda far from all that.

I don't know how she does it. Most I ever did was take music lessons, poetry lessons, fencing and take finishing lessons. And it was never at the same time, 2 at a time. Once finishing school was over but music wasnt, Id go to music and fencing lessons. My uncle insisted that I take fencing. Be more like my brother & a man. Ugh. My aunt tried to raise me to be at home 24/7, cooking sewing etc but occasionally I would go with my dad's family to the gun range. My dad's side of the family is all military. Probably the only Brit girl who did that. Atleast with the "higher up" girls. Alot of girls I knew growing up didnt like to get "dirty" dont know how to ride a horse but they sure can boss their maids and servants around.
Gotta love the brain farts. They happen to me alot. I knew what you meant lol.
sorry it took me a little bit to reply, using the net on my phone, took a little bit to log in. Good old texting lol.
Kinda late for you isnt it? =P (jk)

Neat. I haven't checked out that one yet. I'm still trying to finish "Black Butler" and a few other mangas but whenever I get money, I end up buying a figure or two so mangas get pushed down on the list.
That's cool. Most people aren't luckie to have a great teacher. Or to keep their drive.
I went thru 2 piano teachers before finding a great one by then I was about 7. I started when I was 4. Just sat down and played a piece by Beethoven, never had a lesson, played in perfectly after that, it was piano lessons after piano lessons and a competition once a year.
My first teacher had a problem with running her fingers on my back to make me sit up straighter. No matter how straight I sat, it was never good enough to her. So naturally I grew to have a phobia of being touched. Weird, i know.....
Then my second teacher was just flat out lazy. He refused to give me any classical music or any books, and would print out music like "old McDonald" thinking I was a beginner and would get mad when I finished it in like 2 seconds. He lasted about a month, after him, I had the greatest teacher ever. Challenged me like mad and was always putting me in competitions. I was in atleast 2 competitions a month for 10 yrs. My last one was when I was 16 then my teacher told me he had nothing left to teach me and that I should start teaching, I taught some of his students for 2 years then opened my own studio and been doing that ever since. Then last year, I became a elementary school teacher. On my 2nd year now.
My best student just decided to take some time off from lessons cause she's in way too much stuff: soccer, cheer-leading, karate, ballet, honor society, private art lessons. She barely has time to practice. Granted she sounds like she practices for hrs a day, her timecard shows she barely practices. Mom & Dad thought she needed a break, still has the drive though, I get a video once a week of her practicing. I'm like "great, now come back cause there's still more to learn" lol

Ah. Thats cool though nothing beats a private tutor, more competitions that way. Won alot myself. Not necessarily, alot of people learn more and better with an instructor. Most people who try and learn on their own give up cause they dont have the drive and will power that a teacher will&can give them. Alot of my students tried teaching themselves but were gonna give up cause they didn't have the drive and dedication. They find that there's alot more to music and the piano than just simple note-reading. Nothing is fully a self tutor.
Anyways, what kind of anime do you like?
