Hello all, I’m an otaku. If you’re on this site you should know what that is (I hope). I’m not enthusiastic about just Japanese anime or manga. I’m a huge fan of Japanese pop culture in general. Aside from anime and manga I love Vocaloid, J-rock and J-pop bands (even though I can't understand the lyrics ^_^) and anything else related to the pop culture of japan.

When it comes to anime I love both English dubs and subbed versions, but I prefer mostly the fansubs because it’s the original voice over work plus the subs are done by other fans. The included subs in most of the licenced DVD’s tend to suck hard core. I just buy them to support the industrey. I like many genres of anime/manga including action, romance, slice of life, supernatural, magical girl etc. Heres a list of my favorites:

I tend to favor “edgy” animes that feature deep and emotional plots and of not that then hilarious humor.

I’m an aspiring author. I haven't had anything published but everyone tells me I have the skill and determination. I’m working on a short novella about a Super Human boy who just happens to be an American otaku. He works for a branch of the UN that manages and controls other Super Humans. He’s sent on a mission to Tokyo where he meets a Japanese closet otaku girl named Misaki and fights a global conspiracy. Hopefully a publishing company well find it interesting. But I doubt it.

I’ve never been to a “real” anime con like Anime Expo or Otakon but I’d like to go to one at least once before I die. Instead I go to KoroNekoCon which takes place at the community collage here in Spokane. Just a small get together with anime fans, cosplay and a few stands. No guest J bands or nothing.

Now on to why I’m here. Since this is a dating site I’m here to meet cute otaku girls here in Spokane and (hopefully) fall in love. I don't have my hopes up though. This IS online dateing we're talking about after all. I’m looking for some buddies to hang with aswell. But before you make any quick judgements I want to make it one hundred percent clear that I am NOT a weeaboo. I know I’m not Japanese. I USUALLY don’t add “kun” or “chan” at the end of other peoples names. But when I do it’s around other otakus and friends who know what those suffix mean and are cool with me talking in such a manner, and even then we’re just screwing around and having fun. I don’t annoy people by stating I’m fluent in Japanese when I only know like eight or nine words, all of which I learned from watching fansubs. AND I DO NOT OWN A SINGLE DAKIMAKURA LOVE PILLOW! THAT SHIT DOESN'T FLY WITH ME!
