My name's Thoeun, pronounced 2N, but don't call me that, just call me Tom, Takeo, or DJ T-Tom (my legit stage and DJ name). I joined MaiOtaku not because I'm looking for an Otaku girlfriend, as I'm already engaged. No, rather, I'm actually looking for others who share the same interests as I do. The sad thing is, I have, really, no Otaku friends, or even friends in general. I figured "Hey, MaiOtaku advertises as being a social site, let's take advantage of it." And thus, I have arrived.
I've got a lot of screws loose, but hey, who doesn't? I'm a Christian DJ, Producer, Rapper, and multi-instrumentalist. I run a YouTube channel (which is undergoing a transitional period so I won't advertise it quite yet), am a writer, writing an original webfiction (which is undergoing a rewrite for formatting and other proofreading) and a web manga series which is currently still in the planning stages between myself and my artist.
I'm also a gamer of sorts, but my tastes are...strange. I do Let's Plays (but there's some changes coming). I don't belong to any single fandom, aside from FFVII, and even then, I'm not overly obsessed. Instead, I love many anime series, game series, and different internet...things, for lack of a more eloquent term.
I also had an unfortunate late start as an Otaku, not really being one until I was 18, and due to a little obscure anime called Kimikiss: Pure Rouge. Since then, I've been hooked to anime since. Black Lagoon is my all-time favorite series, but I love watching just about any anime.
Again, let me reiterate: I'm looking for FRIENDS, not a GIRLFRIEND. And as someone who despite being in my mid-20's is still treated as an outcast just because I'm an Otaku, looking for a few REAL friends instead of a bunch of kinda-friends is much more important to me.
But hey, I'm open to talking about anything, so hit me up and let's have fun! Oh, and uh, if you're experienced with Cosplay, I'd like to be friends, because I want to break into cosplay, but my tailoring skills leave much to be desired.
