Gunslinger girl is very good I have the first boxset and even though they the 2nd season is done by an entirely different anime studio it is also fairly good. I enjoyed both.

The Gunslinger Girl manga closely resembles the anime in terms of character design and plotline, but there are subtle differences, like Jose is called Guiseppe in the manga. Also, I would say the second season follows the manga more accurately because I think they were trying to cram 3-4 volumes into roughly thirteen episodes the first season. I think that's it, really.
