You've never been to a con?!! That goes against the fabric of time and space! j/k I see your from Missouri; there are a ton of cons in the StL and KC area. Kawa-Kon, ASTL, Natsu-Con are in the StL area. Naka and Motaku are in the KC area. Really, you should go to a con, I've made most of my friends there.
