I've been fascinated with Japan since 4th grade when a teacher brought in a katana, some Japanese sweets and snacks and talked about their culture and history. I was hooked. I started watching Kurosawa movies when I was in middle school.
Then I discovered anime and was blown away by the complexity of the characters and story lines. I've been an American otaku ever since. I speak some Japanese and want to learn more. I have one thing on my bucket list...go to Japan!
