@natsuko Iowa is like a lot of states where the name comes from a Native American word, name or tribe of the area. Totally different phonetic structure than that we are used to. I think Iowa was named after the tribe that inhabited the area called the Ioway tribe or something like that. On the matter of infections, this is also reported infections. Basically you can be like me where I was infected at the start of the outbreak around March or something of last year. I didn't notice and life went on as normal. Then when I get tested in June and that is when I get reported as an infection for June. So if you haven't been counted as having covid and you get tested and it turns out you were infected at some point then it gets counted. So whether these people are sick, asymptomatic or otherwise everybody is thrown in the same pot.
