Yeah, it is generally. My roommate is more into that side as well. I consider my "Zen" to be a mix of Zen and some Theravada principles as well - but not too many. I don't have an opinion on reincarnation, but I do not believe the Buddha was a god or that there exist such things. I take offence to Christian beliefs heavily, despite that I do have a dear Muslim friend, who does pray for my well being and such, and I don't mind that because he keeps it to himself. I'm an ex-Catholic, and I don't identify with my heritage at all - Spanish and Irish, so I have been doing Japanese and Chinese holidays, rituals and spending a lot of time with people from those communities. When I die, I want to be cremated, my ashes mixed into the soil and a ginkgo sapling planted in that soil on the grounds of a Buddhist temple in Japan or China.
