George Carlin.. I miss that guy. I've felt that humanity has taken a wrong turn on the view of religion. It was never meant for, "My God is better than yours." It was to learn to do the right thing. A quote I like to put to religion is from a very famous writer; William Shakespeare. "A rose by any other name smells just as sweet." As a person has many nicknames, that greater force can be known by many names as well.

Indeed. I'm personally Christan and call that higher power God. However, I don't see it as a bearded man in the clouds; I see God just as you described, the greater force. I feel there all multiple paths to enlightenment and the only true important thing, is to be a good person. =]

I believe in the beliefs of any enlightened human that walked this earth. Ghandi and Buddah would both agree. You know when you hear that voice that tells you what is right and even what is wrong. It is the greater portion of your consciousness connecting with the universe. I honestly believe this to be correct. Call me naive if you will. But there is always a greater force that guides us. the wicked and the just. it is our decision to embrace it or deny it.
