Assassination Classroom is all about one thing - Assasination! Based on a Japanese manga science fiction comedy series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui.

The students of class 3-E have a mission: kill their teacher before graduation. He has already destroyed the moon, and has promised to destroy the Earth if he can not be killed within a year.

The series is set in a world where magic exists and has been utilized as a technology for nearly a century. Rather than casting spells with chants or other traditional forms of spellcasting, mages use a Casting Assistant Device, better known as a CAD.

The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery.

Strange murders are happening in Tokyo. Due to liquid evidence at the scene, the police conclude the attacks are the results of "eater" type ghouls.
