Yuji Kaido is diagnosed with a new disease called the prophecy syndrome and is put in cryo sleep just to wake up 22 years later during an operation to rescue the " sleepers " to be used as a tool to take back earth from the blue.
It's a really good series, very saddening at times and very cruel in many ways but it is just such a well done series.
