its about 12 people who have phones or a diary of some sort that allows them to see into the future given these future diary's by a god they must kill off the other diary users and the winner is given the powers of god one of these is the protagonist a lonely boy who has spent his life being a wallflower with no friends and no enemies called yukki however when the game begins and his life is endangered another diary user a psychopathic stalker whos in love with yuki and vows to protect him no matter what her diary tells her yukis every movement in ten minute intervals allowing her to know if hes going to get hurt or not the two of them basically start trying to locate other diary users in order to survive,if the phone breaks you die if the diary reads dead end your scheduled to die but that can be curtailed and a new path created thus changing the diary
