Perhaps, but I think my habit of reading manga over watching anime probably stems from my habits as a child. I used to carry books with me all the time and read them everywhere I went. Although reading comics is definitely different from reading just text, I still enjoy being able to imagine scenes and scenarios being carried out in a quiet setting. Anyway, once I start watching anime it's very difficult for me to stop so perhaps when I don't have tons of work I'll continue watching it. XD

Oh geez, I didn't realize it was 96 episodes. XD I haven't watched an anime that long in a while, it's going to take me a while to finish the series. I'll probably finish the manga before the anime since I do start university tomorrow and watching anime takes so much time. ;u; I suppose that is true, it did show a scenario of what can happen when you start to lose control over your life. Not exactly though, his future was kind of left unknown since the series ended with Mashiro and Azuki kissing after they finally achieve their goal. It really would have been nice to have a reunion for the mangaka or some other sort of epilogue seeing as there were so many characters.

Those are entirely plausible. o.o I did start on Maison Ikkoku and so far I'm liking it, although I've only gotten up to episode 4. I was hoping for something more too, but I suppose it's typical for shounen series to end once the guy gets the girl. One thing I wish the authors hadn't done was make Nakai become so stereotypical. :/ I was really hoping he would change positively as a character since he had a lot of potential growth, but they ended up making him fatter and creepier. I suppose they went with the...realistic route?

What. XD Don't do that, it would take forever to clean. D: I'm not too fond of alcohol myself. If you're so sure I'll enjoy Maison Ikkoku I guess I should give it a try. XD That's why I typically read longer series, it goes by much faster. And I have read Bakuman! It's amazing how informative it was on the manga industry. One odd thing I noticed about the manga though was that while typically with longer series the artwork will improve or become more detailed as it goes on, Bakuman manages to do the complete opposite. It was like the series changed from seinen to shounen. I loved how that worked on characters like Hiramaru though, it just made him that much more hilarious. :D

Well I still would say InuYasha's good stuff, but lately I've gotten bored of the episodic formula in anime unless I find it compelling enough to watch. The thing that really got me into it in the first place was the lore and the amazing backstories for all the characters, so there's that. I'll definitely get around watching Maison Ikkoku sometime though. Yep, it also goes by F Compo. I wouldn't say it's in my top 10 list of favorite manga, but all the same I enjoy it a lot since some of the themes it covers are quite unique for manga, especially considering it's from the 90's. Part of the reason I got into it was also style. I'm a sucker for more realistic and detailed art work in manga; it's one of the reasons I've started leaning away from a lot of shoujo and shounen works. One prime offender is Otoyomegatari/ A Bride's Story. I don't normally buy manga since I rarely get around re-reading volumes, but I just had to buy A Bride's Story if anything else but for the phenomenal artwork. ;u; http://www.bigplanetcomics.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/brides-story-interior.png http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/VampyreVamp/Doujin%20Dorm%20-%20Webboard/Artbook%20Sample/Otoyomegatarichapter206-07.png
