I'm half deaf in both ears. I have been since birth, it's more or less why I got into anime in the first place. A medium that always has subtitles in the LimeWire days when getting subs for any western media was a crap shoot. So I would recommend Koe No Katachi, before wasting your time. As that will basically show you what I went through growing up. I'm also a big Tenchi Muyo fan.
