Yeah, I've been to Japan a few times, actually. I can speak Japanese decently, but I still have a long way to go. It's fairly complicated, but in some ways, it's not as hard of a language to learn as it seems.

Oh the system is similar to Facebook; you can publicly write on someone's profile, or you can contact them via private message (the little chat box). I'm not sure why, but here it's typical for people to post on someone's wall thanking the user for adding them.

Oh yeah, I prefer that too. I really enjoyed Plastic Memories and The Lull In The Sea for that same reason

Oh don't get me wrong haha, I enjoyed AnoHana! Objectively it was pretty predictable, but just because I didn't rate it that highly doesn't mean I didn't like it
