I consider it to be possible but not highly probable because of the lack of scientific evidence supporting the claim. As time goes on and computer science as well as physics continue to make breakthroughs, proof that support this idea might arise .I have thought about it and considered this possibility many times throughout my shower-philosophy sessions( lol ) and i've got to admit that it is a very interesting topic that i would not expect to arise in this forum . 'The Talso Principle' is a videogame that is based on such possibilities and questions ('living in a program/matrix','what is real','what is consciousness' and more). I had a ton of fun struggling with both the puzzles needed to progress further into the game and the philosophical questions it posed. if you have free time and spare money i would suggest you to give it a try . PS i too am interested in listening to other people's opinions and views on the subject mainly because i haven't managed to draw any conclusions myself.
