A massive earthquake ravaged Japan's mainland and destroyed most of Tokyo, sinking three-quarters of it into the ocean. Ten years later, the story shifts to Igarashi Ganta, a seemingly ordinary student attending Nagano Prefecture's middle school.

Attack on Titan (literally translated as "Advancing Giants") is a Japanese manga series, and now an anime, originally written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. Cross Academy is different from any other school. It has a Day Class and a Night Class, with different uniforms and no interaction between these two classes.
