I do, my dad knows and tells my mom to stop it, but my mom doesn't stop. As for my friends they know not to mention her but they also think that I shouldn't let being dumped control my life so treating her as she never existed is not getting over her so they should still be able to be her friend and talk about her every now and then. They aren't the greatest friends.. Also I'm not trying to look for a fling or something to solve lonliness, I'm just mainly trying to get my mom to shut up about my ex. So if I bring another girl home, maybe she will start talking about that girl instead. I don't really wanna wait another year or so till I find that perfect someone.

Well in my life I had one girlfriend, when I was 25-26 years old and it lasted just under a year..It was semi serious and me never having a gf before till then I wanted to do everything with her and bring her into as much as my life as possible, so she always hung out with me and my friends, and also had many outings with my parents and other family. She dumped me for another guy after discovering I wouldn't let her leech off of me easily. Though she still did suck out maybe a few thousand dollars. Anyways she had a nice sweet personality very childish what I call princess disease, and because she was so sweet and childish everyone liked her. Now it's been almost 2 years since she dumped me and my mom still wont stop mentioning her every now and then and even then sometimes my friends mention her. Its my fault for allowing her to be so much apart of my life.. Since then I have had no success with girls I like. I'm very picky and since I was dumped I became even more picky..and I'm very unphotogenic so online dating doesn't work out for me.. So I'm considering asking one of my friends to be a fake girlfriend in front of my parents and friends so they can stop mentioning my ex. Thoughts?
