I've been interested in anime ever since I saw Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Not long after I was also introduced to hentai (La Blue Girl and Bible Black). But I didn't know about a wide range of anime till I went out with a girl who was into cosplay and anime conventions about 5yrs ago, ever since I've been obsessed with anime and Japanese pop culture and I'm always looking for otaku friends and a new girfriend. I'm also getting into visual novels after watching Saya no Uta.
As far an anime goes I prefer dark and edgy, action, psychological and heart wrenching. Vampires are always a plus. However I also like some slice of life with romance and even some ecchi. Sometimes I like reverse harem, cross-dressing and traps. I'm not much of a fan of "popular" stuff like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece or anything that goes on for 100+ episodes.
I'm pretty jaded and cynical, sometimes I take it too far and offend people more than I intend. I'm not really shocked by much of anything.
