I think I remember my first anime as being that of Captain Harlock, but I also remember my interest in anime being rekindled after watching the classic, Akira, which resulted in me seeking anime that was only available in Beta format since VHS was more mainstream.
I don't like how anime has become more fluff than content. You would think that with greater refinements in the illustrative ability of the artists, the content of the anime would be of the same quality.
I do understand that this might upset some fans, but when you watch something from 98 and then watch something recent, it seems more like I'm watching a mainstream toon than anime.
What ever happened to the storyboards that had everyone seeking anime (hard-to-find) from any where they could find it.
Those are my thoughts.
As for me, being taken, is wearing a collar. Not going to go into great deal about this as I am sure my Mistress would not appreciate me going into details. She is married to fine woman as well. All three of us reside in the same house.
I have experienced Cosplay, but it was more with having been in the Camarilla, Vampire Fan Association, when it was popular in the 90s. I really did enjoy getting into character, getting into costume. Anime aided in getting into character. Character personality, psychology and social merits and flaws.
It's all good :)
Life is about experiences.
It would be nice if anime mirrored fact more than fiction. Like it used to. Back when anime was pure and wasn't created to satisfy North American censors (since the west, in my opinion, still has a stick up their butts when it comes sexuality and expression)
Again, my opinion.
But that's just me. :)
