Your thoughts about trump winning the presidency

I think you should change your name punhero. To "sanityhero" You sound like a sane person. Thank you for that. The deed is done. Trump is going to be President in a few months. Love him, hate him, whatever. The election is over now. No point bitching about it now until the next Election rolls around. (or find a better means of participating in peaceful anti-Trump group gatherings that have already sprung up in the news of his win) Until then Obama is still in charge. So we might as well sit back, crack out the popcorn, smoke some now legalized pot and watch some anime or play some video games or other geeky thing we do best besides bitch. I mean what is the point about us trying to rip each other out a new ass now? Let's just all agree to disagree or something along those lines, and hope things don't go to hell and we all don't have to sign up for Vault-Tec's underground nuclear shelters. :D

As an individual, I don't trust Trump (Past failed business, but he more than made up for bankruptcy.), he's sexist and seems to have racial issues. However, all stupidity aside(A wall?-Really? That shit won't happen no matter who is president.), I think it won't be the end of the world. Make your votes count and continue to vote on laws and bills if you are serious about change for the positive. He's not an emperor who's word is the final say.

In all honesty, every time you hear someone question "why did people vote for trump?" a significant portion of that answer can be found whenever someone points at trump and uses the words "racist, sexist, misogynist, islamaphobic, straight white male(in a derogatory manner), *add whatever other buzzword label you like* " A good portion of people see themselves in trump whenever he gets these accusations and labels thrust at him. because they think "those assholes have been labeling me and insulting me this same way for years and I don't agree that I am any of those things." so they rally even further behind trump because their ears have become numb to the tired old insults that never seem to stop coming out of the mouths of a certain group of people. And they see it as a desperate attempt to discredit an otherwise good man(in their eyes). so it's not that millions of people "support a racist, sexist, etc etc." president. It's that millions of people are fighting back against rampant accusations of racism, sexism, etc etc. and pretty much the entire crybully culture in general. if you never wanna see another trump type president, you gotta stop using accusations of racism and sexism as your favorite clubs to beat people you disagree with. for example, pro-lifers are not "Anti-woman, sexists" and people in favor of voter ID laws are not "Anti-minority racists". the left's categorization of these people in that way is in part what helped create trump and gave him his victory.

My thoughts? Its a necessary lesson of karma meant for those who just wanted to throw a hand grenade into the system that they have a rightful reason to be angry with, but little understanding of the consequences, or how that's actually counter productive to actually fixing things in this country. And seriously. Damn it, Harambe. But seriously. I don't hold any grudges. I even understand why. At the end of the day though, as Yashat said, if we could actually participate in government like actual citizens, even if just at the local level, we could do a lot more change than whoever the heck ends up in office. It really isn't the end of the world. Just... A few of my friends in the LGBT and Muslim communities have already had a death threat or two, so be careful out there, guys.

I was undecided until shortly before the election. I absolutely did not want Clinton. I didn't care for Trump. But I ultimately agree with most of Trump's platform. Thus I ended up voting for him. I do not believe one second that Trump voters are racist. Sure, some of them may be, but its so small it might as well be 0. But I find it extremely hypocritical of the left to call all trump supporters racist when they throw a fit about stereotyping. Its like, its ok if I do it, but not if you do it. Do as I say, not as I do. That is the mentality that caused me and many, many more voters to vote for Trump; we are sick of being treated like the left knows better than everyone else. Hopefully this is a wake up call to the social media zealots, the mainstream media propaganda machine, and the entire democratic party. You are not above the voters.

You guys completely ignore the key things I say. For the 20th time generalizations are bad for everyone but I'm pointing out a group of radical people that think a book(that has been rewritten with people's personal thoughts) is absolute. This group of people has all sorts of races in it. No its not a race thing, it's a refusal to stop imposing your religion on others. I think racism is a stupid idea because we are all one kind of being under the stars. Now I'm officially done with this. Neko leave me the fuck alone. If it's not about Anna, Overwatch, life (not involving politics) or MO then don't fucking talk to me.
