Evangelion

Obviously it's nothing new... (Unless you'd like to discuss Rebuild, the movie tetralogy) but I think this is a great series, and horribly psychologically thrilling. Over the summer, I finally sat down and watched it all, and I absolutely fell in love. For those who have seen it, how confused were you? When did you start realizing that you had NO concept of what was happening? If you haven't seen it: REMEDY THAT! Also, Asuka: Love/Hate?

I only saw two episodes (somewhere in the middle)and it really confused me. I like Asuka(the redhead right) but then again I only seen two episodes.

I know FUNimation is working on re-doing the series and releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray, which should be amazing, and they even got Spike back to re-voiceover Shinji. They had a huge press release in San Diego and even re-created the classroom for the presentation. No release dates yet for the Blu-ray edition, but sometime early 2010 for Evangelion 1.0: You Are Not Alone.

OK...so the release in 2010 is to DVD or Blu-ray. It is going to select theaters already (Columbus and Washington in October/November and NYC mid-Nov)...sorry if there was any confusion...and this is for the movie Evangelion 1.0: You Are (not) Alone.

Absolutely adore the series & the rebuilds. I'm a rabid Kaworu fan, sorry ^_^; & it took several people explaining it to me before I got it because the movie absolutely did not help it only served to confuse me even more. I only recently realized that the last 2 episodes of the regular series (after Shinji kills Kaworu) are pieces of the movie. While Asuka can be a major bitch I love her because I can relate to her attitude so well. The only characters I don't seem to like are Seele and Gendo. The assholes & their perverse use of nearly naked children roflmao

well i just saw the new version of it the eva1.11 and eva2.22 it was something interesting and somewhat different from the first one

The rebuilds crush together the series & for whatever reason adds a new female pilot & gives Kaworu his own eva that was constructed on the moon. There's 2 lance's & two things that looks like Lilith except one's not & they say from the very beginning that the one below Nerv is Lilith instead of Adam. They also add another angel & renumber which one shows up 1st, 2nd etc. I don't get why they changed it so drastically since it's not in the manga but oh well I'm rolling with it.

I'm a HUGE fan of the original series (not sure why, though). Not so much a fan of the new movies. Asuka's okay. I like Rei.

I grew up on Evangelion it is one of my favorite animes... I have seen the whole series repeatedly an I seen all the movies too... this anime will never get old to me lol...

Ah yes Evangelion. I ended up watching the original series first and overall I enjoyed the show. I also watched the movies up to 2.22. I was somewhat confused about a couple of things (like the last two episodes and why some scenes took a lot longer then they should have). As for Asuka, she's alright I can relate to her character but I will agree that she be kind of a bitch.
