Why did start watching anime?

I heard about Akira, saw it and thought it was awesome somebody bade a cartoon with realistic bloody violence instead of the usual nonsense of a cat chasing a mouse or whatever.

It was a unique medium I never had the courtesy to experience fervently in my youth...(aka I saw Sailor Moon as a kid and I wanted MORE).

So one day I saw a tiny clip of princess mononoke on TV it was a part where a bunch of the kudamas where shaking, I've been hooked ever since

i remember getting hooked on naruto when it 1st aired on TV in the US then remember researching "cartoons like naruto" and ended up learning the term Anime xD and it kinda escalated from there, thenlater finding out i watched Dbz when i was younger when i didnt know what anime was :p

Sailor Moon, Pokémon got me hooked as a kid.. then one friend told me to watch Naruto on a internet site... that was like 6-7 years ago and i cant stop watching anime, have not stopped until today <3 (think i never will)

Because something happened and i was forced to stay in doors for the majority of my time, then i found the world of memes and Anime.

Toonami 1997, I remember staying up late due to being sick, and the TV happened to be on. At the tender age of 5 I saw Gundam Wing in all it's brilliance, got goose bumps and went from there.

I didn't really start enjoying DBZ until the Buu saga. Then somewhere in that same time Cowboy Bebop aired on Adult Swim. That was when I really started seeking out anime.
