Pictures

Quite a few reasons people wouldn't use real life pictures/ Not all are due to low self esteem as some would think though. Sometimes its due to trust and not wanting to reveal more about themselves in the risk somebody might do something with it. Such as a person using their photos online under a fake account. That's a small little take from me.

That's a good point that I never thought about. But if you go by that logic, then wouldn't it be the same for every other social media networks?

Yes and no. If it's a straight up dating site then it would be wierder if they had a picture if an anime character or a video game character but this site is already themed so to speak.

Please, most of the reasons why people don't use their real pics is cause they think they're ugly or they wanna troll. either or. speaking of which... ATTENTION TO ALL ON MAIOTAKU!!!
