@Sher You're right about that. From what I've noticed so far (with my sister living in Bristol and communicating with important people there) people in the UK seem poorly informed about what's going on in the rest of the EU right now. I went ahead and blamed the BBC, because that is one of the only sources I've seen firsthand from my little country. I was justa little too blunt, so I'm sorry about that ^^

@King What's more, you're not even a part of the UK or the EU, are you? Why are you being so assertive in this conversation. An approach more like that of Gudmoore would probably suit you better (unless you are from the UK of course, than it's my honest mistake and I retract this post)

@Sher Actually, now, a little later on the day, they are finally starting to address some of the issues that have led to this and and the consequences of it all. One of the things discussed is for example the cheap politics that was focussed on the immigrant issue, because they threw all the blame on the EU, but the British government has ha d a huge hand in that as well. It's easy to blame everything on the EU, because for many people it's really abstract. I agree with that. I'm not saying that this is turning into something really big and I'm not implying anything bad here about the UK, but the same tactics were used in politics at the start of WW2. That seems to me like something really bad. Still, I want to stress that I do not believe anything like that is happening again, but the politicians are using the same strategies and people need to be very attentive when following politicians who simply put the blame elsewhere. The UK deserves better than saying that they had no control over all these issues, for that would imply huge incompetence on the part of the UK, which I personally believe is not the case

Most people in their 20s voted remain. Most people in their 60s voted leave. So basically the older people are satisfied even though they aren't going to experience the results as much or as long as the younger people. They've badly effected our future. I also felt like the referendum got a bit ruined to be completely honest. It's supposed to be about what the country would prefer, but instead it felt more like 2 campaigns trying to get the most followers possible. Both remain and leave campaigns were really biased and in our faces, even going as far to give helium balloons to people in towns.

I didn't vote, I was slightly in favor of staying within the EU... but to be completely honest.. I still didn't understand the up's and down's of both sides to come up with a definite and clear decision. That said, with the 'leave' in majority.. I just hope it was the right path that have been laid out for us. Considering the terror threat levels currently in Europe, it's not overly surprising that Britain has really put into motion a 'Let's get lé fuck out of here before WW3 kicks off' plan. However leaving the EU may not be the defining moment of that plan. I'm not the smartest bloke in the world.. I know more about the finer points of making bourbon biscuits and the art of making a cuppa than I do about the current state of the world and it's inner workings/dealings. Oh well... it's just another day in paradise ^_^ http://lowres.jantoo.com/weather-cut-cuts-holes-seeing-umbrella-29609141_low.jpg

@King Seriously, I tried to go in with an open mind, but this was just too much. Firstly, NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS! 'Non-racist' Milo is implying the opposite, though. "Racism: Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior." Millo literally says the view of Muslims on certain topics are inferior. He comes up with some statistics that should be shocking, but in fact they are not, because those issues are part of Muslim believe. The fact that we are not accustomed to that doesn't make them any more or any less morally wrong. Secondly, Milo is very good at playing his audience. Would he take away the stylistic devices, his ethos and pathos in his voice use and his suit and shaded glasses, he would be far less convincing, which should tell you something about the message he is trying to get across. To me the funniest part is that he's stating that he's not a racist, but then goes on to state that all muslims are extremists. The fact that Muslims are against homosexuality is no surprise really. It wasn't that long ago that gay people weren't allowed to marry in most western countries. Muslims had nothing to do with that. Guess who did that: catholic people! Maybe the problem is catholic people, or buddhist. There are many believes and many minorities that we can put the blame on really. What about the Jewish? The don't seem so kind to gays or women either. Maybe we should personally attack them too? O wait, we tried that a couple of years ago. Didn't turn out that well. Seriously, Adolf Hitler himself would be proud of this piece of propaganda, because Milo nearly had me going for a moment
