so... yeah, its actually a thing, only this time around our angry bearded bad-ass is taking on Norse Mythology. And he seems to have a son now too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlW175pnJjI

Sonys Conference was the best conference so far. Almost all the games they showed I'm hyped for.

The way I see this game is that it might not be so much a revenge driven game like the last 3 are. At the end of the 3rd game (spoilers I guess?) Kratos killed himself to release the "hope" that was inside him and give it to the human race, hope so that they might free themselves from the control of the gods. But at the end of this trailer Kratos tells his son that hes ready for a new beginning as the camera pans up to the thundering mountain tops ( Odin? maybe Thor? ) my guess is that now Kratos is on a quest to once again free the people from the control of the gods, only this time its the Norse Gods. And this has been my over analyzing of game that little is even known about yet xD.

I was like, dammit you guys. If you're gonna announce all these awesome games, at least announce a console price drop too.

I think it'll be a great game on its own but the gameplay isn't something that looks exciting to me though... I'm not the biggest fan of the God of War games but I like them and (I'm more of a Devil May Cry player, I just think they're better, deeper games) they're easily best known for their visceral combat and the combat is great fun so seeing them go for a more Last of Us-esque approach with story pushed to the forefront, it just seems... I dunno but it just doesn't feel like a God of War game to me at all. I'll still try it out though.

God of war 1,2,3 all have pretty much the exact same gameplay, with minor upgrades of course, so maybe they just wanted to give it more of a dark souls, witcher sort of gameplay. Now that's not to say that the old combat features weren't amazing, but it is nice to change the gameplay a bit along with the plot. Either way I'm hyped.

I do like a good change of pace but the new gameplay style just doesn't seem like my thing, which is strange since I really like the slow, deliberate style of the Souls games. I guess I just feel that the absurd, over-the-top aspects of the previous games really worked and I feel it fit Kratos' character far better than the new style :/
