A casual friendship is based on regular contact. ^^ I don´t think online-only friendships work out. ;D

Online friendships can evolve. Pen pals have existed before the internet. Also there are these things called airplanes, boats, cars and trains, so you can definitely meet eventually. Taking up mass locally should not be a strong basis for a friendship. Do you stop caring for people who pass away because you can no longer share oxygen with them? Anyway... long story short... you can definitely make long lasting and passionate friendships online and on this site... just depends on compatibility.

I believe it is actually possible to develop a strong friendship through mo or any site for that matter. Sure, meeting someone is important too but I dont consider it absolutely necessary.

To expand on it, I used to be in a gaming clan/unit thing for Day of Defeat. Played with all of em all the time. Eventually we all became pretty close. Met a few of them when I went off to college too.

It has been proven on my side! Yep it can definitely happen ^^ I think I have 3 besties here who accept and listen to my insane babblings and serious perceptions of the world. But know the person first before telling him or her though xD
