Walmart rant

So I was reading a review on Splatoon, and thought: I need to pick up some milk. Why not stop by the only game store in town and see if they have it in while I'm out. Much to my delight it actually was in stock so I had them get me a copy from the glass display case. So with cash in my hand, they ring it up and it says not yet for release. And they're like: Sorry. If you want to stick around for three hours we can sell it to you at midnight. For serious, what was stopping this transaction from taking place? Were the video game gods going to strike us down with lightning the moment the game case touched my hand? So in the end I walked out with just some milk and breakfast sandwiches for in the morning. Pretty sure my future game purchases are going to happen elsewhere. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/21wq/ponies/882009__safe_pinkiepie_upvotesgalore_zpsbeka03rj.jpg

Why even put the game in the gaming section 3 hours prior to release.. I can understand 30 minutes if they set up a little promo area up for it but thats ridiculous.

No they cant sell you the game before the time its supposed to come out....they already have all the games in the back room from the moment it comes up in store saying "coming soon" its already there just in boxes out back waiting to be preordered...they can get the games early for themselves but if they give it out to someone else they get in trouble

I looked it up after getting back. The actual release date is May 29th. In other words, I would have had to sit around for 27 hours, then maybe they could have sold it to me. What's the point of having product just collecting dust for that long. At least put up a sign that says: Available Friday!

Haha lmao it doesnt make any sense that they had the game up for purchase and then tell you, you cant buy it because its not ready for release

I should go back in the morning and see if they have it in the case still then have them take it out and try to buy it again. Then I should go back at lunch and see if they have it in the case still then have them take it out and try to buy it again. Then I should go back after work and see if they have it in the case still then have them take it out and try to buy it again. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/21wq/ponies/thumb_zpsyiuy9xj9.png

@ Ichirai So you wish to eat shit than buy shit so im guessing you mean eating your own shit if i read that correctly. I mean if that is what satisfies your hunger more power to ya bro. http://i.imgur.com/2Uv2QEP.gif (couldnt help myself) You got the milk though but that tends to happen everywhere for various reasons.

Quote from Gintama about calcium Gintoki: "You want love? You have dreams? When you're young, you don't need that crap. All you need is... CALCIUM! As long as you get plenty of calcium everything'll turn out fine. Cramming for exams, fights with your parents, that girl you like doesn't know you exist... As long as you drink milk, everything will.." Shinpachi: "Of course it won't turn out fine!! No matter how much calcium you drink, if you get hit by a car, your leg's still gonna break!" Gintoki: "I got hit too, but i'm fine! And I owe it all to drinking this little guy everyday" *hold up strawberry milk*
