@lamby no, I don't keep any anime related items. The only thing I collect are momentous or items that make it easier to remember my dead family members.

I never liked the answer my dad gave me. In a way, maybe it was a good thing to have that backround. I read up on religions in my own and found beliefs that I liked a lot more. Now if someone asks me what religion I am I just say "All of them"

@The ghost who walks a lot of people find the after life scenarios put forth in religious doctrine rather comforting and reassuring. I won't knock you for believing any of them. However, the belief systems that go along with various religious doctrine and that a person needs to follow... I'll have to pass.

Did you have a religious upbringing, Final? Most of my friends who did usually hate religion with a passion. Not saying you do just curious. I'm pretty cool with beliefs or lack of. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/c5/b3/c0/c5b3c08a194939adc0942921760de3c3.jpg

@The ghost who walks It's a bit complicated. I would say I never had a religious upbringing in the sense that I never went to church or believed I needed to act a certain way or I would be judged by some higher power. Till I was about 8-9 I probably believed there was a god but didn't really think much about it. However, as I got older I started seriously thinking about it and the only answer I could ever come to on my own was no there isn't one. I don't have an issue with religions people and since a decent number of my grandparents, aunts, and uncles are religious... I can't justify disliking them just because they have religious beliefs that aren't hurting anyone. I do take issue with people that hide behind religion and beliefs as a justification for physically hurting other people.

I remember when I was a kid, I knew the basics like God the Father. I thought to myself "If he is a father he must be married, right?" so I remember asking who is God's wife. Then I came to the conclusion that Mother Nature must be married to God. I couldn't have fun thoughts like that in a church so I don't like the establishment of religions that much. The fantastic stories and morals are what I like. I want to believe there is some magic out there and inside of us. http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/281/241/a62.jpg

@The Ghost Who Walks Kind of funny in all my time I never thought about who God would be married to lol. I do remember being pissed at god because I would always be getting sick and once I started needing glasses... It must be gods fault. How could he screw me out of my good vision...Kid logic at its finest. Meanwhile my mom an optometrist is sitting their laughing at me for being dumb because of (Genetics) I would probably need glasses. Good times...
