Still think this doesn't apply to you? A few rhetorical questions to ask yourself (the trait spills into other aspects of life):
-Are your hobbies 'YOUR hobbies', or did someone give them to you?
-If you have an idea, do you HAVE to ask someone else if it's a good idea first?
-What would you do if you had friends that grew to not like each other (that you met at the same time)? Would you endlessly try to get them to get along? How much energy would you waste? Would you be able to handle losing one or both of them?
-Is 'this guy' still your friend because you care too much about how he feels about the 'friendship'?
Now I'm not saying that any of this has or will happen to you, but I'm trying to get you to seriously and objectively think about this.

I'd let it go, but 'you can't fix an oil leak by putting in more oil'. I'm not that type, and I'd rather fix the way you think about dealing with things than the consequences of what happened later. Yeesh.
