Furries? Love em' Hate em

That is why it is dangerous to assume Maverick. I'm a furry, but I am not in the least bit sexually attracted towards anthros. Where I live, the majority of the furries here are much like free-lance mascots. We just like to give people something to smile about in their day, and we are very kid friendly. Every once in awhile we get approval from malls to romp around in our suits. In every culture you have your sickos. Are all adults pedophiles just because some are? are all blacks criminals just because some act gangster? Did you know that the term Otaku in modern day Japan is equivalent to calling someone a geek? While the word is used abroad to mean a fan of anime and manga who enjoys the anime culture, In Japan, the word can be looked down upon as a term for a person with any obsessive interest (not confined to anime and manga) in particular some cases reaching extreme levels such as men falling in love with Dakimakura (Body Pillows). "When these people are referred to as otaku, they are judged for their behaviors - and people suddenly see an “otaku” as a person unable to relate to reality". So for future reference, it is the wisest choice to avoid generalizing groups of people. P.S Why is it that when people start with "no offense" they always tend to follow it up with offensive language? When you categorize people and stereotype, you DO mean offense, that's just the truth.

Simply ask, most people will gladly tell you their experience with the community =)And its no problem, no grudges held here. Really, the furry community was just a sub-set genre of the anime fandom to begin with, and eventually they kinda broke off and formed their own, more dedicated, community.
