Who wants eco friendly items

And the bit about deforestation, we're consuming resources as a world, much faster than these resources replenish (if they're even capable of replenishing) to the point that it's vastly in danger of being completely consumed. While that has problems with the global ecosystem which many people see as remote from them, it'll also cause problems in terms of economy which is much more local. I'm not saying you're essentially wrong hikkikomori, but I think you're only judging these issues on a superficial level

Thats what i feel is right which is why im quite devoted to it i research and experiment with alot of scenarios and also since i like to mess around with things and ponder on stuff we need more people in the fields of science that benefit humanity not destroy it

Well with all the dependancies humans have I do believe we are some of the first to go, granted the bees will die first but i think the planet as a whole will survive us, for this reason alone I do not worry about climate changes and over consumption, we will simply kill ourselves and eachother before we can take out the whole planet (unless we nuke ourselves into extinction maybe). I may have been somewhat abrupt regarding deforestation, what i meant to say is that buying a bit of rainforest or donating some money to a (imo corrupt) goodwill program, is an action people take to feel better about their own wasteful behavior such as printing newspapers (in a day and age with electronic media at the level it is, really? your still gonna print it on paper?), eating mcdonalds (whose beef is made on deforestated areas) as well as wiping their ass in those same trees. Its the utterly selfish and hyppocritic attitude of the typical "good samaritan" that gets me to a boil, its ok to donate and all that, but dont go around acting all superior and guilt free, and dont start blaming your neighbor for shit you are just as guilty of. Biggest piece of rubble in my shoe is children however, i believe Doug stanhope said it perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkgDhDa4HHo I back the views of this man 110%

eco-friendly technology is not always reliable... great in concept but still needs improvement.

I second Hikkikomori, a large part of the Eco movement is propaganda and "feel good" emotional reasoning. I watched one of those lovely "EARTH IS DIEING! *insert contradicting 'evidence' here to invoke emotion*" movies in class today and all the other students were freaking out at the doomsday scenarios. They then proceeded to drive home in their personal SUV, eat some fast food, complain about not having enough X, Y, and Z, and take a long shower before going to bed. I do like eco stuff, however. Not because it makes me feel good, just because it tends to be more convenient for me. Eco technology as far as energy is concerned won't be ready for implementation for a long time, however. Look at what happened to Germany when their Govenment decided to "Go Green" with billions of tax dollars during the previous generation of solar panels. They now basically have inferior, inefficient solar panels that could be replaced with 1/10 of the amount of newer solar panels and be better off. So, yes, I want more Eco-items... once there's a stable market for the product. The stable market will come when the technology is self-sustaining in the marketplace.
