@Maverick:GT is noncanon to the Dragonball(Z) universe, Toriyama did not write GT. The only contributes he made to the series where some art concepts for Giru and Their ship in the begging. Any info you may find that says he was a "Co-Writtier", "Co-Director", or anything else is falsified information. GT has already been blown out of the Dragonball time line with The Dragon Ball special "Yo The Return of Son Goku and friends" and the new movie "Battle of the Gods". If Toriyama dose do a new Dragonball series it will most likely take place after the new movie.

@Maverick:
"However he did write the ANIME version"
cite of proof?
"He allowed it, endorsed it and therefore its Canon"
Canonicity for Manga/Anime is based on who wrote it, Toriyama did not write GT, so there for it is non canon.
GT has several writers through out the series. Atsushi Maekawa, Aya Matsui, Daisuke Yajima, Junki Takegami (5 episodes), and Masashi Kubota.
Toriyama is credited as a writer of GT, but he strictly oversaw its production, and he drew some art concepts. This dose not make GT canon.
For the sake of the argument let's say it was canon, it's no longer canon, ""Yo The Return of Son Goku and friends" and "Battle of The Gods" have blown it out of the Dragonball time line, it doesn't fit and it no longer matters. If a new series where to continue after GT it would not fit in the Z time like GT once did.

@Maverick: Your cite is filled with all the info that I've been telling you. You just proved my point for me.
"Akira Toriyama is credited as author in the ending credits of Dragon Ball GT; he oversaw the series' production"
He only did art, Thank you for helping me proving my argument to be true.
