I used to be in your situation and I understand your farmer's emotions. Pride will do a lot to someone, but it wasn't until I pushed myself away from my family that I understood how much of a toll it had on me. My first breakup was due to my own pride. How does this relate to you: It sucks and might be hard to understand, but in a relationship where's only you two it is stressful. I know I wouldn't want to put someone I love through that. I'd feel guilty and selfish for dragging her through hardship and I'd feel as though I'd be wasting her time. As for the being friends part, you should do what you feel is right. What, you want us to tell you how you should feel about your own relationship?
