I'm Donavin (everyone calls me Don though). 24 years old, 5'8", average build, Dark brown (almost black) hair and dark brown eyes. I love to cosplay, watch anime and read manga. Other than that though, I play guitar, (attempt) to draw in manga style, go on drives and collect anime figurines. I'm a nice guy that loves to try and make people laugh, although I am a bit shy upon the first meet or two. I am almost done with school for now, have a job at Epic Cosplay wigs and am currently looking into business ventures with my friends that are feasible. I have also been studying Japanese for around 2 years just for fun. I live in a small town in Ireland and I really hate it here. I can't wait to leave. There is literally nothing to do and hardly anyone has the same interests as me so I am really unhappy here. One day I just realised that I will never find love here so I joined here in the hopes that I might meet some likeminded people for a change. I dont really have a problem finding relationships but it always ends up the same old story. I try to be interested in what they like but after a while i finally realise that it's just not me and end up single again. So I decided to try and find someone who likes what I like for a change and vice versa so I'm hoping I can find that kind of connection on here. Worth a shot right? Anime is a big part of my life. I'm also a bit of a gamer but anime takes priority lol. Some of my favorite characters and stories come from anime and it has influenced me so much in terms of my artwork and writing. my hobbies are drawing, writing,working out (i like to keep fit), gaming, watching anime, movies, reading manga and camping. Alright, I shall give this thread a try! My name is Simon I am 17 until the end of September I am 6 ft tall I am not looking for someone to necessarily go right into a relationship, I would want to become friends with people, get to know them, and maybe possible one day find that special someone. In the moment, I want to make friends with common interests with me and have someone to talk to about this kind of stuff because right now, I do not have a friend to take about otaku stuff with. I am a senior in high school but I have taken college calculus and I am currently taking a Japanese class at a community college. I plan to go to a university after I graduate and I might want to make it to law school to possibly become a prosecutor later in life. I have a 4.o GPA and am at the top of my class. I have 0 friends at school because I attend a small private school but I do keep in contact with a few friends from the past and I get along well with those I work with at my part time job. For my interests, I LOVE anime! I enjoy almost any genre of anything (including shoujo) except for stomach turning gore (although I do like Hellsing if that tells you my taste for what I can handle) I am not a big fan of horror on my own, but I do like to dip into it when people make me. (However they have to be there with me or else i die! D;) I just basically love anything with a great story and so you know, my all time favorite anime is definitely Clannad! <3 I LOVE to read. I have not been reading many novels lately (although I have read a few) because it is hard for me to find good ones that I like... *sigh* So I love taking suggestions from people about novels. I do however read a lot of manga and visual novels because it is easier to find stuff I know will suit me and be much more interesting that a crappy novel that I won't know is crappy until I wasted my time reading half the darn thing *GUH* For games, I am mostly a PC gamer, but I also play Nintendo systems for the great Nintendo games. *YEAH!* I also play handheld games such as 3DS and vita games. Currently, I have been playing handheld games more than PC just because I do not have any games that DEMAND my attention on PC right now, other than visual novels which I guess are technically games. Other than that, I RARELY play other console games with some RARE exceptions. As for my non nerdy hobbies, I am a scuba diver, and I have a passion for cooking, I love to cook just about anything and i am always looking for new things to try out! So anyway that is all I have to say about me.
