Aw, that's sad. I can't really imagine quitting wearing lolita, kind of like I can't imagine quitting anime/games. @_@ I guess it's natural though, if maybe she moved to other styles.

I don't see myself quitting lolita, too. I do see myself switching sub-styles in the future, like from sweet to gothic. She said moved to otome kei since she finds it easier to wear.

Huh, I just Google image searched that, and it looks closer to the lolita-ish store I love(Axes Femme). XD Maybe it was otome-kei rather than lolita, or a mix? Well I love them both. XD I'm sure some lolita can be difficult to wear and give you looks, so I know otome-kei would be something more for casual days.

I recognize the name, so I searched it up. I like it! It looks like otome kei with a mix of mori girl? Emily Temple Cute is my favorite brand when it comes to otome kei. I think I'll buy from them in the future for more causal stuff ^^

Oh interesting, I never hear of Mori kei, but after searching it, it does look like that too. xD I really liked the store, but I think they only have them in Japan, France, and China, according to their site. >.< It sucks because I totally would buy from them if they sold stuff to overseas. One thing I can't get over, I really liked how affordable the clothes were. I bought a blouse and coat from there really cheap compared to prices online or in real clothing stores in USA. I bought this really fancy lolita-ish coat that came with a fur collar attachment/cover thingy for like $60, and I can bet it would have cost $200 or more at the lolita store in San Francisco. Normally I see coats in regular USA clothing stores closer to $100-$150 too. Just typical coats. Man that lolita store in SF is so expensive, I think it mostly is "Baby the stars shine bright" and "Alice and the pirates" clothes, but it's kind of ridiculous imo to charge $100-$200 for just single blouses that you could get for probably $30ish on Body Line or Ebay... I don't know if it's an Okinawa economy thing, maybe it is because all the clothes in the department store there were really cheap. A long thick duffle coat was only like $30. @_@ Then after New Years they had these grab bags that contained a full ensemble of clothing for around $90, and this is including a top, vest, coat, headdress, socks, skirt/dress all together. It was kind of crazy. PS: Here are the blouse and coat. XD http://i.imgur.com/qTOjUL6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SL3jfEN.jpg As well as the duffle coat: http://i.imgur.com/UfbU48M.jpg

Lolita brands are so expensive ;-; I don't think I would ever buy brand blouses (all my blouses are from Bodyline or offbrand). I think the prices for brand jewelry is crazier. A cute plastic ring for $15-$20. I don't want to spend that much on a ring (even though they are cute). Lucky packs are great! You get so much more with less money! Sadly, I wanted to buy one from Angelic Pretty, but I didn't have the money at the time. Oh well, there's always next year. The first coat looks really cute omg!

Same here. I just bought one from Bodyline and one from Ebay, both under $30, and well I think that is pretty much good for any outfit that requires a blouse. XD I've never really thought about Jewelry. I guess I just never wear any, unless an outfit is lacking, like a necklace for an exposed neckline. And yeah I fell in love with it when I saw it on a mannequin in the store right when I was buying the blouse. XD My grandma bought it for me as a gift for New Years.

I need more blouses, but I never bought any from eBay before. I'll consider it if they have what I'm looking for ^-^ Jewelry came to mind for me since it was an example of how brands over price things. Awww that's sweet! :3

Can find really cheap clothing in general on Ebay, just have to be careful and read all the seller's reviews to make sure people aren't saying the items don't look like the picture, or whatnot. It's good for custom sizes since most do make custom sizes that you send them. The quality may not be super high though, but most of the time even if it's not "official" it usually comes pretty darn close to looking like it... I guess kind of like bootleg. I really loved all the dress coats I have bought on there so far.

So much to read and catch up on in this thread~ X.X Yeah, there are replicas out there for sure, Kohagura. It is hard for me to find Lolita that fits me but I have found there are a few Facebook groups where people sell their stuff as well as other sites that are specifically for selling used lolita. One I look at is "Plus Size Lolita Sales (English only)" on facebook. One I have been checking on from time to time is lacemarket.us because they have a search option for "plus size-friendly."
