I mean I knew Peterson fans are passionate but.. hating me simply because I disagree with your opinions on him? Listen, I’m glad he was able to fill some sort of void for you but that doesn’t mean there are no problematic aspects about him. He voices his opinion on subjects he holds no education in to young impressionable youths. That’s my issue with him. If he just sticked to self help advice I wouldn’t dislike him. I also don’t dislike you btw. After this Spiel on your “faith” in Peterson I just feel bad for you.

I’m not trying to destroy it. Again: I’m happy that you were able to gain insights from him that helped you improve your life. I just want people to be critical and not idolize people who talk about anything from sociology to biology to politics when they received their education in the field of psychology.

Well, fucking awesome. Those “beacons of hope” are still just people. Very flawed, oftentimes very wrong and sometimes even very cruel. They shouldn’t be put on a pedestal the way you put JP.
