I usually don't turn around, when a person has a common name, they usually develop a 6th sense that let's them know if they are talking to them or to someone else with the same name.

We all gave ourselves odd nicknames so the name cristina wouldn't have to be said.

Simple enough. Though with the people I normally hang out with, you don't get a nickname if your name is already as short as Mike. Guy logic, we'd rather real with 4 mike then to think of new nicknames
